This website was created on January 23, 2008 as a service to the Topeka area square dance community. It is designed to be a "one stop - one shop" place to see at a glance what is happening in the Topeka area at any given time. This is particularly valuable to the many out-of-town dancers who come to Topeka to dance.

Out-of-town dances may also be listed provided no Topeka club dance is listed for that day.
This consideration is given only as a courtesy.

There are many fine dancing opportunities in the Topeka area for couples, singles and families.

Borne of an idea:
This website began as webpage for the Shawnee Swingers Square Dance Club by myself, Henry Staub III, who was president of said Club. I determined that all Topeka suuare dance clubs should have a presence on the web so I presented the idea to the Topeka Area Square Dance Council whereupon it was approved.

It is my intent to keep this website clean and easy to navigate so that when you come to visit you will not be overwhelmed by too many pages and options.
